Francesca,
In our culture, and I think in particular in those generations that were born after the war, we are so used to being critical and negative about our ancestors. And we all don't want to become old, so we push the old ones away into loneliness and isolation. Which, in turn, seems to create loneliness and isolation for ourselves. Being old and dying, that’s what we are all most afraid of, terrified in fact, - so we want to ignore the old and the dead as much as we can. And you know the result. The deep feeling of isolation and not belonging it creates. I'm slowly, slowly beginning to really understand what you mean when you say that working with the ancestors is not a metaphor. - P.
“…now, I feel that when I’m with the powers and the blessings of my ancestors I can soar like an eagle.” - H.
"Through participation in this work, I immediately started receiving solace for my grief-laden heart. This work has helped me to understand that influences, greater than my inadequacies and shortcomings, were negatively affecting the lives of my immediate and extended family.” – S.D.
“I have been able to let go of so much pain and anger at people from my past and have even begun healing some of the relationships in my family”. – J.
“I am moved that you are bringing this amazing dimension of unconditional love…into constellation work. Blessings to you and the gentle spread of love that follows your work.”
- S. & C.
